What we do on Parramatta Road

Leaving a slipping gearbox alone is the expensive option. A regular service is the same idea as an oil change: cheaper than waiting for the unit to fail.

    Transmission service

    A service is the fluid, the filter or screen, a clean pan and a new gasket. Old fluid comes out and new fluid goes in. Small faults show up here, while the repair is still a service and not a replacement.

  2. 02

    Reconditioning

    When the unit is past a service, we rebuild it to specification: friction materials, gaskets and seals, the torque converter, solenoids, sensors and the valve body. Revised parts and software updates are included where the manufacturer has issued them. A reconditioned transmission is usually far less than a new one, and it carries a 12-month warranty.

    Drivetrain diagnosis

    The drivetrain carries power from the engine to the wheels. Work ranges from a clutch adjustment to a full rebuild. Computer diagnosis is free. You get a free repair estimate before any repair starts.
